Centrifugation

• All the vacutainers are centrifuged for 10 minutes at the speed of 3000 RPM.

• Except for the purple capped vacutainers came for the HbA1C test does not get centrifuged and directly put into the fully automated machine.
• Precaution:

1. There should be no cracks and leaks on the vacutainer and vacutainers should be properly closed.
2. Place all the samples symmetrically in the rotor
3. Be careful while taking out vacutainer from the centrifuge by forceps to avoid barcode sticker damage.

Fully automated chemistry analyzer and Fully auto immunoassay analyzer machine :-

When a sample ID is generated and a barcode sticker is put on vacutainer. These vacutainers are arranged in rack and barcode stickers are scanned by analyzer’s barcode reader.

Different worksheets for IPD and OPD patients → If the barcode sticker is not scanned by the analyzer's barcode reader for IPD patients then technicians make worksheets and give orders manually for parameters requested.
