WDI OF MANUAL ERYTHROCYTE SEDIMENTATION RATE (ESR)
(Modified Westergrene Method)
- Take 0.5 ml of 3.8% sodium citrate in ESR cup.
- Then add 2 ml of anticoagulated whole blood in ESR cup.
- Place the Westergren pipette in the ESR cup till the blood reaches to “0” mark on ESR rack.
- Keep it at room temperature for 1 hrs.
- Take the reading after 1 hours.
