1) CBC: Outdoor samples -Run on Micros 60/Pentra XLR automated analyzer.
2) ESR: Out door as well as indoor samples- From 8am to 6pm, all samples are run on automated ESR analyzer. In case of breakdown it will be done by manual method.
- If any emergency request is come after 6 pm then it will be done by manual method.
3) RC: Done as routine investigation daily from 9am to 5pm of both indoor patients as well as outdoor patients in the indoor processing room.
4) P.S.C.M.: Done as routine investigation daily from 8am to 6pm of both indoor patients as well as outdoor patients in respective processing rooms.
5) P.S.M.P.: Done as routine investigation daily from 8am to 6pm of both indoor patients as well as outdoor patients in respective processing rooms. In emergency 4 pm to 8 am accepted and processed in the emergency laboratory.
6) Pv / pF antigen kit is used when ever Malarial Ag test is requested.
7) PT, aPTT :Both out door & indoor patients’ samples are run on fully automated coagulometer (STAGO)in routine hours. During emergency hours, samples are run on STAGO. In case of breakdown it will be done by manual method.
8) Bone Marrow Aspiration / Bone Marrow Biopsy : Bone Marrow aspiration & biopsy is done in every case of bone marrow examination. In pediatric patients, we receive Bone Marrow Smears only.
Complete Blood count (CBC)
• Outdoor hematology samples -Run on Micros 60 (3 part automated hematology analyzer)/Pentra XLR(5 part automated hematology analyzer), smears are prepared and complete CBC report including manual slide made differential count are given to all patient.
• Indoor hematology samples in routine and emergency hours ( evening and night hours) are run on Micros 60/Yumizen H500 automated analyzer , smears are prepared and complete CBC report including manual slide made differential count are given to all patient.
• All emergency reports are signed by R2 on duty as provisional report, next day results are verified if any correction required concerned clinician informed immediately and corrected report issued.
• Routine hematology reports & coagulation profile are signed by Post MD R4 / Faculty. Reports of Malignancy & Bone marrow aspiration/Biopsy are signed by Faculty.
