  1. PURPOSE: Computer is used for data entry, data analysis, record keeping and to generate computerized reports of clinical pathology laboratory.
  2. LOCATION: II )Hematology processing room-1
  3. OPERATION:
  • At first, switch on the power supply.
  • Then switch on the UPS, CPU and Monitor in that order.
  • When the screen of monitor is displayed, it will require password to enter onto desktop.
  • Then, start any work related to the computer and save each and every work before logging off.
  • After completing the work, switch off the monitor, CPU and at last UPS. Main power supply is left on, so that battery of UPS will charge continuously.
  1. MAINTENANCE SCHEDULE:

    1. Cleaning: Everyday morning, dusting is done with soft brush or soft cloth.

    2. Whenever not in use, switch off the monitor and cover.

    3. Operate the computer gently.

    4. Do not use computer without a basic knowledge of its operation.

  2. VALIDATION OF INSTRUMENTS: On installation & service. Before service the backup data is taken .CPU checked for Booting & functioning.

  3. BACK UP PROCEDURE FOR EQUIPMENT FAILURE: In case of failure, Reports are generated in Computer of Incharge room

  4. RESPONSIBILITY: Technical staff and doctors

  5. SAFETY PRECAUTIONS: Any operating or electrical problem should be recorded and to be brought in notice of the laboratory In-charge. Service persons are informed regarding the problem as soon as possible to solve the problem.
