Special Instructions for COVID19 Samples (For Lab Technicians)

  1. This instructions are relevant for non-covid19 samples,too
  2. There are two types of MRD numbers for COVID19 samples
    1. Example1: 05/123 (Where 05 is month)
    2. Example2: SUR/20/00123456 (8 digits mandatory)
  1. Example1:
    1. 05/123
    2. If such samples are received, use New Covid(Stem) in menu
    3. Do not enter 0 (enter 5/123)
  2. Example2:
    1. SUR/20/00123456
    2. If such samples are received, use New Covid(MRD) in menu
    3. If MRD is 123456 ⇒ write SUR/20/00123456 in LIS
    4. If MRD is 23456 ⇒ write SUR/20/00023456 in LIS
    5. If MRD is SUR/20/00002345 ⇒ write SUR/20/00002345 in LIS
    6. If MRD is different in BOOK vs REQUEST-FORM vs SAMPLETUBE, send sample back for correction
  • Note: If there is insufficient space for Barcode sticker on LABBOOK, stick them on fresh new page to prevent sticking over written details

Special Instructions for COVID19 Samples (For Clinicians)

  1. There are two types of MRD numbers for COVID19 samples
    1. Example1: 05/123 (Where 05 is month)
    2. Example2: SUR/20/00123456 (8 digits mandatory)
  1. Example1:
    1. 05/123 ⇒ write only 5/123.
    2. Do not write 0
  1. Example2:
    1. SUR/20/00123456
    2. Do not write 123456 ⇒ write SUR/20/00123456
    3. If MRD is different in BOOK vs REQUEST-FORM vs SAMPLETUBE, Sample will be sent back for correction
    4. Use Lables on Tubes , Request Forms and Request Books as far as possible
    5. In Lab Book(Request BOOK) keep gap of 2 inch between consecutive sample entry for sticking barcodes
