| Procedure for examination in Erba XL-640 |
| Because serum has protein concentration almost hundreds times that of C.S.F, ERBA XL 640 shows significant carry over from serum sample done previously.Instead of keeping washing cycle before MPR for all test, following alternative strategy should be used.Programme alternative glucose method as CGLC. Before any CSF MPR make sure that CGLC is done just before that. If necessory programme test sequence such that CGLC done before MPR. Because MPR Quality control is done before other serum QC, it is essential that this strategy is used before doing MPR QC. Generally in patients CSF samples glucose is done before MPR this may not be required.CGLC as a dummy test helps wash probe from high protein serum sample. Out of 2 results of MPR QC done in duplicate, use second result for decision making and calculating monthly SD and CV. After importing QC results of MPR, make first result red. |
