• Make folder and name it as “scan” at specified location of particular computer in which you want to collect scanned files.

• Open terminal and log in as “su”.

• Write command as display below to give permission to defined folder.
• Alternatively make /var/www/html as default folder by writing following in config file

local_root=/var/www/html

• restart service
• apt install ftp in client computer
• try to connect as non-root user
• in Ricoh, settings are not effected completely until home page returns. (we faced this error and spent a lot of time why printer could not save scanned file to vsftp server
• if user in printer is biochemistry, change ownership of target folder to to biochemistry
