First lift up the lead of tissue processor (1st container) & hang the tissue basket in hook present in lead

Switch on the UPS

Timer is preset as per follow

1. 10% formalin……………5hrs
2. 50% alcohol……………..1 hr
3. 60% alcohol……………..1 hr
4. 70% alcohol……………..1 hr
5. 80% alcohol……………..1 hr
6. 90% alcohol……………..1 hr
7. 100% alcohol……………1 hr
8. Xylene-1…………………1 hr
9. Xylene-2…………………1 hr
10. Paraffin wax-1…………1.5 hr
11. Paraffin wax-2…………1.5 hr

Total processing takes 16 hours to complete.

After 16 hrs( next day) switch off the instrument and take the tissue basket from processor

Notes

Embedding bath temperature is set at 65 to 70’C

Change the formalin daily

Change the alcohol after 3 days

Change the Xylene after 3 days

Change the wax after one week
