PROCEDURE (STEPS):
From sputum take the bloody, discoloured & solid particle not larger than the size of pea on each of four plain slides.
With a clean glass slide crush the particle of sputum on each of the four slides, using the rotary motion.
Spread the material evenly over the slide so that final preparation is only slightly thicker than a blood smear.
Prepare 4 wet fix smears for pap & H E, 1 dry fix for MGG stain.
