Daily Maintenance

Start of the day procedure

  1. Empty Bio-hazardous Waste can.
  2. Fill the Cleaning Solution can.
  3. Clean the analyzer external surface.
  4. Replace the printer paper if, necessary
  5. Clean the Computer, Monitor, Keyboard And Printer External Surface.
  6. Perform Prime, Cuvette Rinse and Probe Wash operations and Check CellBlanks (All these operation will be performed automatically when theinstrument is switched on first time).
  7. Clean all the probes from outside with Alcohol.
  8. Verify Reaction Tray & RGT1 & RGT2 trays Temperatures.
  9. Replenish or Replace Reagents If Necessary.
  10. Perform ISE Cleaning Once and ISE Purge Commands 3-4 times.
  11. Ensure enough CAL A and CAL B in ISE.
  12. Remove the Reagent Trays RGT1 & RGT2 and clean the water condensedon the tray and Reagent Bottles using a dry tissue

End of the day Procedure

  1. Remove and discard all Sample, Standard, and Controls cups or tubesfrom the STAT tray.
  2. Carry out Auto Wash if latex based chemistries are used during the day.
  3. Perform the water save.
  4. Remove any condensation present on the walls of the Reagent Trays RGT1 & RGT 2 or near the Reagent Bottle necks using a dry tissue.
  5. Empty the bio-hazardous waste can.
  6. Clean analyzer external surface, to remove residues of serum, reagentsetc.

Weekly Maintenance

  1. Clean and fill the Bio-hazardous waste can.
  2. Clean the Cleaning Solution can.
  3. Ensure enough CAL A and CAL B solution in ISE.
  4. Clean the stirrer paddles and laundry probes with alcohol.
  5. Check the syringe assembly and surrounding tubes.
  6. Clean the computer, trolley, monitor, keyboard and printer externalsurface.
  7. Clean the area around the analyzer, and discard any unwanted item.(Maintain proper room cleanliness).
  8. Clean the Sample and Reagent probes.
  9. Clean the STAT tray.
  10. Clean the Reagent trays RGT1 and RGT2.11Perform an auto span check and note down the gain values for all thewavelengths.
  11. Perform a cuvette rinse and check cuvette blanks.
  12. Clean the barcode reader window, in the piece of RGT base unit.
  13. Archive MultiXL database
  14. Backup MultiXL database – Main Database, Archive database

Annual Maintenance

  1. Clean the Bio-hazardous waste can.
  2. Clean the Cleaning Solution can.
  3. Ensure enough CAL A and CAL B solution in ISE.
  4. Replace the external tubing to the Waste, Bio Hazardous Waste,Cleaning Solution and DI Water Plant.
  5. Clean the analyzer’s external surface.
  6. Clean the computer, monitor, keyboard and printer external surface.
  7. Clean the area around the analyzer, and discard any unwanted item(maintain proper room cleanliness).
  8. Check and replace the Sample and Reagent probes if necessary.9Check and replace the stirrer paddles.
  9. Replace the laundry probes.
  10. Clean the STAT tray.
  11. Clean the Reagent trays.
  12. Check and replace the syringe dilutor assembly.
  13. Clean the fans.
  14. Clean the bar code readers.
  15. Perform the auto span check and note down the gain values for all thewavelengths.
  16. Perform a cuvette rinse.
  17. Perform a precision check and note down the %CV for an end point andkinetic test.
  18. Replace the lamp.
  19. Clean the internal surface free of dust.
  20. Perform an auto span check and note down the gain values for all thewavelengths.
  21. Carry out site verification for temperature, line voltage, electrical ground,ventilation, external interferences, room lighting, and laboratorycleanliness practice. Refer section 3.2 Site Requirementsfor moredetails.
  22. Make a detailed entry in the error log book, of the maintenance carriedout and site verifications. Average life of the Lamp is 1000 hours

Quarterly Maintenance

  1. Clean the bio-hazardous waste can.
  2. Clean the Cleaning Solution can.
  3. Ensure enough CAL A and CAL B solution in ISE.
  4. Clean the computer, monitor, keyboard and printer external surface.
  5. Clean the area around the analyzer, and discard any unwanted item(maintain proper room cleanliness).
  6. Clean the Sample and Reagent probes.
  7. Clean the Stirrer paddles.8Clean the laundry probes.
  8. Clean the STAT tray
  9. Clean the Reagent trays.
  10. Clean the fans.
  11. Clean the bar code reader.
  12. Clean the Waste hub.
  13. Perform the auto span check and note down the gain values for all thewavelengths.
  14. Perform a cuvette rinse.

  17. Carry out site verification for temperature, line voltage, electrical ground,ventilation, external interferences, room lighting, and laboratorycleanliness practice. Refer section Pre-installation requirementsfor moredetails.
  18. Make a detailed entry of the maintenance carried out and site verificationsperformed in the error log book.
  19. Cleanup hard disk for Temporary files like old communication log files by archiving.
