**1] Urine:** **A] Internal Quality Control:** - Daily two urinalysis control samples (positive and negative) run on automated urine analyzer. The results of daily control run are plotted in table and are filed in CP:C/records/file/9/internal Quality control records-A with the printed copies of analyzer - Daily one random patient sample is analyzed by Two/Three parameter strips and multistix strips (8 parameters/10 parameters) and by automated analyzer. Every 6 months one random urine sample (preferably of good amount along with any one or more high positive findings) is also checked by manual method. After analysis, the results are recorded in record register.CP: C/Records/File/09/Internal Quality Control records – B - Yearly twice precision check done on automated analyzer. Reports of comparative observation of all strips are preserved in CP:C/records/file/9/Internal Quality control records-D - Weekly, Physical, chemical & microscopic examination of one random urine sample is done by two different pathologists and results are compared to each other.Reports of comparative observation of all doctor’s are preserved in CP:C/records/file/9/Internal Quality control records-E (Interanalyst comparison: Physical & Microscopic examination) **B] External Quality Control:** As an alternative approach to EQC , split sampling is done and two technicians randomly chosen are given the sample to perform test. samples are processed by them according to SOP, both on automated urine analyzer as well as by strip method along with microscopic examination. Microscopy is done by two authorized signatories/ M.D. Path/D.C.P. Path doctors and records of which are maintained in report forms in CP: C/records/file/2/Results of EQA / Split sampling. **2]Body Fluid:** **Internal quality control:** Monthly one body fluid sample is assessed by one resident (R2/R3) and two staff member. Results are entered in record register CP: C/Records/File/9/Internal Quality Control records-E. **External quality control:** Yearly four body fluid samples sent to one NABL accredited lab, results are compared and records are kept in record file CP: C/Records/file/2/Results of EQA and interlaboratory comparison.
