====WDI FOR PRAPARATION OF 10% BUFFERED FORMALIN FOR OT SISTERS====

In operation theater of our hospital 40% formaldehyde solution is provided from store of hospital.

All buffer powder like K2Hpo4 and NaH2Po4 are supplied by histopathology section on demand of OT sister in-charge. 

All buffer powder  is weighed according to formula for 1 liter, 5 liter and 20 liter.

OT sisters are trained for preparation of Buffered formalin solution.

__**Procedure for preparation 20 liter of 10% buffered formalin:**__

  *Take 2 liter of 40% formaldehyde solution in one big container
  *Add 18 liter of tap water in container containing 40% formaldehyde.
  *Mix well and add 130 gm K2HPO and 80 gm NaH2PO4
  *Mix well till all ingredients have dissolved.
  *Store this solution in closed container for use.


__**Formula for preparation 1 liter of 10% buffered formalin preparation**__
  *Take 100 ml of 40% formaldehyde solution in one container.
  *Add 900 ml of tap water in container containing 40% formaldehyde.
  *Mix well and add 6.5 gm K2HPO and 4 gm NaH2PO4. 
  *Mix well till all ingredients have dissolved.
  *Store this solution in closed container for use. 

__**Formula for preparation 5 liter of 10% buffered formalin preparation**__
  *Take 500 ml of 40% formaldehyde solution in one big container
  *Add 4500 ml of tap water in container containing 40% formaldehyde.
  *Mix well and add 32.5 gm K2HPO and 20 gm NaH2PO4 
  *Mix well till all ingredients have dissolved.
  *Store this solution in closed container for use.
