=====WDI for Toluidine Blue stain - Cyto=====

1. Take the test slide with control.

2. Bring the smear to distilled water.

3. Place the slide in jar containing 0.5% Periodic acid for 5 min.

4. Wash it well in several changes of distilled water.

5. Stain with Schiff's reagent for 10-15 min.

6. Wash it with tap water for 5-10 min.

7. Counter stain it with Harris Hematoxylin for 1 min.

8. Wash in running tap water 

9. Differentiate in 1% acid alcohol for 1-2 sec.
