To prepare the slide from received  sputum

Spread the representative part of sputum on glass slide, with circular movement

**10. PROCEDURE (STEPS)**
  *From sputum take the bloody, discoloured & solid particle not larger than the size of pea on each of four plain slides.
  *With a clean glass slide crush the particle of sputum on each of the four slides, using the rotary motion.
  *Spread the material evenly over the slide so that final preparation is only slightly thicker than a blood smear.
  *Prepare 4 wet fix smears for pap & H E, 1 dry fix for MGG stain.
