In hemolysed sample, 25th cycle OD will be high so do not release report and write comment in Remarks as " sample is hemolysed, send repeat sample.If sample is not hemolysed, centrifuge it again and repeat test. If sample is QNS, do not send result.ask for repeat sample. **Care to be taken while preparing ependrof cups for testing UIBC and IRON in ErbaXL** - centrifuge vacuttee, seprate serum carefully in ependrof cup and take care that RBCs are not to be present in seprated serum. - if sample seems turbid, centrifuge seprated serum further and then seprate serum from this cup in fresh another cup. - if there is huge lump in graph and later goes down after R2 it may probably show contamination with RBC.
