There are two methods

===Current method===
  -step 1
  go to drop down menu as shown below

  go to the monthly id page and enter the date of the current year and month as shown below

  -step 3
  in this step, it will remind you of your procedure as shown below

===These are some precautions to be followed===
  -verify existing month 
  -verify last sample id 
  -stop all procedures like receiving and analysing between 12:00 am to 01:00 am
  -then go for the above mentioned procedure with co-ordinance or help two residents either physically or telepathically with cation.
  -then go LIS for verification.

===Previous method===
  -open 12.207.3.240/phpmyadmin
  -Enter user name=root and password=????.{{Database.jpg|Figure 1}}
  -click on 'biochemistry' database.Click on 'SQL'.{{Database 1.jpg|Figure 2}}
  -Write query "update sample set sample_id=sample_id+YYMM000000 where sample_id<200000".For example For March 2014 backup enter"update sample set sample_id=sample_id+1403000000 where sample_id<200000".click on 'Go'.
  -To check proper sample Id update , Try to print one privious month report in LIS for example for sample id of 5265 of march 2014,Try to print report of sample id '1403005265'.
