* Make folder and name it as "scan" at specified location of particular computer in which you want to collect scanned files.
 
  * Open terminal and log in as "su".
 
  * Write command as display below to give permission to defined folder.{{:nchsls:c:biochemistry:document:vsftpd_3.png}} 
  * Alternatively make /var/www/html as default folder by writing following in config file

  local_root=/var/www/html

  *restart service
  *apt install ftp in client computer
  *try to connect as non-root user
  *in Ricoh, settings are not effected completely until home page returns. (we faced this error and spent a lot of time why printer could not save scanned file to vsftp server
  *if user in printer is biochemistry, change ownership of target folder to to biochemistry
