====New Instructions for 64 bit====
-login as root
-Download {{:nchsls:c:biochemistry:document:elisa.zip |for 64 bit}}
-Extract. It will be extracted in a folder called 'elisa'
-It may be in /root/Downloads or in /root/
-Start terminal. go to in the elisa folder
- example command to go to elisa folder
- cd /root/elisa
- cd /root/Downloads/elisa
- Run command ./elisa_reader
- If your elisa folder is in /root, give "ls -l" command. Following will be seen.
root@debian:~/elisa# ls -l
total 40
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 941 Aug 19 16:39 elisa.reader
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 89 Aug 19 16:42 help.txt
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 32448 Aug 19 16:37 rs232

====Old instructions ofr 32 bit====
-Download {{:nchsls:c:biochemistry:document:sjinn.zip|for 32 bit}}
-Copy the “sjinn.zip” file in Home folder.it will be seen in "download" folder.
-Extract the zip file in home folder.For biochemistry users,it is /home/biochemistry.Now “elisa.reader.new” can be seen in home folder (/home/biochemistry).
-Now do the following in terminal as seen in below screenshot:{{:nchsls:c:biochemistry:document:reader_1.jpg_step_1.png|}}
-Now is “rs232” installed .close the terminal.
-Go to home folder . Right click on “elisa.reader.new” file and go to permissions and tickmark over __**"Allow executing file as program"**__ or run following command in terminal:{{permission.jpg|Step 1}}
-Now open the terminal.
-For log in as root, Write command as shown in below window ----> press enter ---> write password for root. {{su_terminal.png}}
-Type command “./elisa.reader.new” .{{reader 2.jpg|Step 2}}
-If above shown window seen then your elisa reader is installed correctly.
-Test run to see that the plate moves via commands from the software.
