====VIA VILI TEST====
-Lugol's iodine and acetic acid is asked by O.G. Dept.
-This SOP helps to prepare both the reagents.
-DO not prepare and dispatch these reagents without written request from H.O.D. of O.G. and permission from H.O.D Biochemistry.
-For lesser number of patients prepare lesser amount of reagents.

===LUGOL'S IODINE===
  -  Dissolve 5 gm Iodine crystals and 10 gm Potassium Iodide in 85 ml of DI Water.
  -  Pour the solution in brown glass bottle allow it to dissolve overnight without using magnetic stirrer as Iodine get vaporised during mixing.
  - Note: Don't get confused with Iodine Tincture.Lugol's Iodine contains no alcohol while Iodine Tincture contains alcohol.
  - Do not re-issue brown bottles, ask resident to bring the bottles.
  - Label the bottle  __**LUGOL'S IODINE, 100ml,Mgf. Date  **__

===5% ACETIC ACID===
  -Take 100ml D.I. water with volumetric flask in plastic bottle. 
  -Remove 5ml D.I. water to make it 95 ml.
  -Add 5ml of glacial acetic acid.
  -Label the bottle  __**5% ACETIC ACID, 100ml,Mgf. Date  **__

===5% Phenol===
  - In phenol bottle- Two parts are there.
  - Upper part is Water saturated  Phenol- Its concentration is 10%.
  - Lower part is Phenol saturated Water.
  - To prepare 5% phenol- Take 3 ml water saturated phenol(Upper part of bottle) and add 3 ml DI water.
